KBCA Polls Have Big TVL Flavor

The Kansas Basketball Coaches Association released their Girls All-State team with a big Twin Valley League presence.

On the girls' side in 1A D-1, Clifton-Clyde's Sevy Wurtz and Centralia's Josie Haverkamp were both named to the 1st team while fellow Centralia Lady Panther Tava Gibbs is on the 2nd team and Hayden Kramer is a 3rd teamer.

In 1A D-2, the 1st team includes Drew Bruna of the Hanover Lady Wildcats and Baileigh Peters of Linn. Peters' teammate Gretchen Bott heads the 2nd team along with Blue Valley's Brynlynn Brockman and Katelyn Detweiler from Axtell. Third team is where you will find Hanover's Nora Heiman.

Izzy Rogge and Maggie Strathman were both Honorable Mention as well.

In 2A, the 2nd team features Valley Heights' Ava Smith


On the boys side, in Class 1A Division I, Frankfort's Wes Anderson was a 2nd team pick while Centralia's Quentin Alderfer and Luke Nobert of Clifton-Clyde both made Honorable Mention.

In 1A Division II, Hanover's Tanner Bruna and Braylon Meyn each made the 1st team along with Axtell Eagles Logan Sandmann and Collin Shaughnessy.

On the 2nd team was Cooper Bruna of Hanover and the Honorable mention included Kadrick Cohorst of Hanover, Hays Hall of Blue Valley and a pair of Axtell Eagles Wyatt Detweiler and Landon Schmitz
