When you get this late in the season, coaches, players and fans are all curious to see where a team is beyond the nightly grind of TVL play. For the Centralia girls, that test came on Monday against Riverside.

And if this game proves to be that judge, the Lady Panthers are going to be just fine come this postseason. Riverside kept it close through the first period as Centralia went to the first quarter break up 15-10.

It was the 2nd quarter where Josie Haverkamp made her salt and took over for the Lady Panthers. 11 points in the quarter, and 18 in the game, the Junior put the lode on her back in the first and had the Lady Panthers up 13 at the break, 30-17.

From there it was a steady dose of Centralia's suffocating defense as well as the hot shooting of Hayden Kramer who posted 9 of her 17 in the 4th period as Centralia would defeat Riverside 48-33.

Centralia, now 14-2 on the season after defeating Frankfort 63-22 on Tuesday, face the Linn girls Friday with postseason positioning still well at stake in what should be a terrific game on the road against the Lady Bulldogs.
