Frankfort moves to 7-1 after a pair of close games against Onaga

In baseball yesterday, Frankfort swept Onaga 6-4 and 5-3.

In the 6-4 win, 1 RBI each came from Carter Olson, Wes Anderson, Peyton Adams, Trent Hardin and Henry Ketter. Lane Loiseau picked up the win for the Wildcats with 7 strikeouts and allowing only 2 hits over 4 innings.


For Onaga, it was a 2 hit game for Jackson Kolterman in the leadoff spot and 4 more players (Koelzer, Hutfles, VanDonge, Magnett and Vennerberg) earned hits as well. Casen Hutfles was tagged with the loss after giving up 5 runs over 3 2/3.


In the 2nd game of the doubleheader, a 5-3 Frankfort win. Carter Olson set the table well in the leadoff spot with a pair of hits while Henry Ketter was able to earn a pair of RBI.

Wes Anderson struck out 9 over 5 innings allowing just one earned run for the Win.


For Onaga, Jackson Kolterman was on base 5 times including 3 walks and the top 3rd of the order drove in all 3 runs. The trio of Kolterman, L.J. Koelzer and Xavier Berges each knocked in a run. Kolterman took the loss for the Buffaloes allowing 4 hits and 3 earned runs while striking out 7 in the full 6 innings.


The Frankfort boys are now 7-1. Onaga falls to 6-4.
