When you get into the month of October as a high school football team, things need to be going pretty smoothly and those early season pitfalls need to be turned into lessons. For the Frankfort Wildcats, I think it's safe to say that that has happened.
For the 2nd straight week, Frankfort came out and tore apart a TVL defense, this week being the Linn Bulldogs. Wes Anderson threw for 4 touchdowns, a pair to Brock Armstrong from 21 and 41 yards out, another to Carter Olson from 38 and the 4th to Lane Loiseau on a 12 yard pitch and catch. The 4 passing scores in this game gave Anderson 20 total on the year.
That wasn't the only noise Loiseau would make though. The Junior halfback would find the endzone 3 more times on the ground, the longest from 11 yards out. Loiseau currently leads the team in rushing touchdowns with 5 and yards per carry at just over 7 yards each time he touches the football.
Linn's Gavin Turk led the Bulldogs on the ground with 78 yards rushing, but Linn lost 3 fumbles, 2 of which Frankfort turned into touchdowns.
In the end, it was Frankfort coming away with a 55-8 victory moving the Wildcats to 4-1 on the season. Next Friday, Frankfort takes on 2-3 Blue Valley in Randolph. Linn drops to 1-4, they host 0-5 Doniphan West in Week 6.
