When the Frankfort boys built a 5-run lead in the fifth inning of their game against Centralia it looked like it was all but over but the Panther boys weren't going to let it go that easily, instead Centralia closed the gap by scoring on a ground out, a double, and a sacrifice fly and despite falling 8-6 in game 1, the Orange and Black proved they weren't going to give up.
Centralia was the first to get on the board in the first when Henry Heideman hit into a double play, but one run scored. Frankfort captured the lead, 3-1, in the bottom of the first when Carter Olson singled, scoring two runs, and a passed ball scored another.
Frankfort added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Ty Smith singled to center field, Carter Olson walked, and Peyton Adams grounded out, each scoring one run.

A sacrifice fly by Degan Ronnebaum gave Centralia the lead, 3-2, in the top of the second. But Frankfort didn't waste time scoring in the bottom of the second inning after Henry Ketter doubled to right, followed by a Peyton Adams single.
