Offense rules the day as Buffaloes take down Blue Valley

Casen Hutfles drove in four runs on four hits to lead Onaga past Blue Valley 10-1. Hutfles had a 2 run double in the fourth, and a pair of RBI.

Onaga opened the scoring in the top of the first thanks to three singles including an RBI single from L.J. Koelzer for the first run of the game

An error extended the Onaga lead to 4-1 in the top of the second inning.

Koelzer earned the win for Onaga. The starter gave up three hits and one run over 5 1/3 innings, striking out two and walking two. Lincoln Schmitz took the loss for Blue Valley. The pitcher went 3 2/3, surrendering seven runs on 10 hits, striking out one and walking one.

Isaac Wegner pitched 1 1/3 innings of shutout ball for Onaga n relief. The righty allowed one hit, striking out one and walking one.

Onaga had 13 total hits in the game. Xavier Berges, Cameron Kramer, L.J. Koelzer, and Jackson Kolterman each collected multiple hits for Onaga.

Koy Williams led Blue Valley with an RBI in a1-for-3 day. Williams, Lincoln Schmitz, Brayden Innes, and Aeron Innes each collected one hit for Blue Valley. Landon Sump stole two bases as Blue Valley had four collectively stole four bases in the game. But Onaga would come away with the 10-1 win

Game 2 was no different as the Onaga bats stayed hot winning big over Blue Valley 13-2.

Onaga got on the board in the top of the first inning after an error scored two runs, Dylan Magnett was hit by a pitch, driving in a run, and Cameron Kramer grounded out, scoring one run.

Casen Hutfles earned the win for Onaga. The righty allowed just one hit and two runs over five innings, striking out five and walking one.

Xavier Berges sparked the offense from the middle of the line up with three RBI Tristan Kuhlman and Casen Hutfles each collected two hits for Onaga. Xavier Berges and Casen Hutfles each stole multiple bases and the Buffaloes collectively seven stolen bases for the game.

Brayden Innes provided pop in the middle of the lineup for the Rams, with two runs batted in. The 3-hole hitter went 1-for-2 on the day. Blue Valley turned one double play in the game.
