Valley Heights take two from Blue Valley softball.

The Valley Heights offense has been one of the most consistent of any team in the TVL and they showed that once again as they took down Blue Valley sweeping the Rams 15-5 and an exciting 8-7 victory.
Brenna Gibson collected three hits in three at bats in game. Gibson doubled in the fourth inning, singled in the first and the third inning.
Blue Valley got on the board in the first inning after Brenna Gibson singled, scoring one run. Stella Martin tripled to center field on an 0-2 count, which helped Valley Heights s tie the game at one in the bottom of the first.
Blue Valley took the lead in the top of the third. Kelbi Dettmer scored after tagging up, to make it a 2-1 game.
Valley Heights made the score 5-2 in the bottom of the third after Teagan Spoonts singled, scoring one run, Tessa Miller doubled, scoring one run, and Stella Martin homered to center field, scoring two runs.
Blue Valley tied the game in the top of the fourth thanks to a single by Isabel Wright, and a double by Brenna Gibson.
Valley Heights' offense lit up in the next scoring nine runs on nine hits to take the lead, 14-5. The biggest blow in the inning was a home run to center field by Teagan Spoonts that drove in two.
Valley Heights collected 21 hits in the game. Teagan Spoonts, Tessa Miller, and Paige Miller each with four for Valley Heights Teagan Spoonts and Tessa Miller were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in four runs for Valley Heights.
It was not a banner day for either pitcher when the hitters are so hot, Brenna Gibson stepped in the circle first for Blue Valley. The pitcher allowed 21 hits and 15 runs (10 earned) over five and one-third innings, striking out 13 and walking none. Paige Miller stepped in the circle first for the Lady Mustangs. The starting pitcher allowed nine hits and five runs over six innings, striking out 11 and walking one.

Unlike game 1, game 2 would come much harder for the Lady Mustangs, earning an 8-7 win on the final play of the game as Tessa Bigham singled home the game winner in the 7th

Blue Valley got on the board in the top of the first inning after Brenna Gibson walked, Brynlyn Brockman was struck by a pitch, Bryleigh Brockman grounded out, and Bralynn Brockman grounded out, each scoring one run.
Blue Valley added one run in the third. Brynlyn Brockman singled to center field on the seventh pitch of the at-bat, making the score 5-3.
Valley Heights scored one run in the bottom of the third on a solo home run to right field by Teagan Spoonts.
The Lady Mustangs tied the game in the bottom of the sixth thanks to a single by Macy Stoudt, a triple by Paige Miller, and a single by Teagan Spoonts.
Brenna Gibson opened the game for Blue Valley. The right-handed pitcher surrendered 15 hits and eight runs (seven earned) over six and two-thirds innings, striking out four and walking one.
Brynlyn Brockman and Brenna Gibson each drove in two runs for Blue Valley .Bryleigh Brockman collected two hits in four at bats. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, earning six walks for the game. Kelbi Dettmer stole two bases. Blue Valley stole six bases in the game.
Valley Heights piled up 15 hits in the game. Leah Steinfort and Teagan Spoonts each collected three hits for Valley Heights and Teagan Spoonts had 3 RBI. The center fielder went 3-for-4 on the day. Tessa Bigham, Macy Stoudt, Stella Martin, and Paige Miller each collected multiple hits for Valley Heights Macy Stoudt stole two bases. Valley Heights ran wild on the base paths, collecting four stolen bases for the game.
